Rimmel Match Perfection : Review

I have been trying out the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation for a month or two now and I think I'm settled on an opinion to share it with you lovely lot...

I really like the pump, it distributes the product easily and can be well managed and controlled depended on how much you need.

The formula itself is nice, it's smooth and applies to the skin with minimal effort and being in a well sealed bottle I feel it would last some time before drying out. I find it to be quite a low coverage foundation, I personally prefer a full coverage.

I have found that the product is quite oily, I have oily/combination skin and having recently got this under control I was disappointed to find my face becoming increasingly greasy after having this on all day.

When I picked this up I think I probably should have had the next shade down as I have found it is a tad too orangey for my skin tone but that's my fault not Rimmel's!

Have you tried the Rimmel Match Perfection? What did you think?

Hope you're having a lovely week... Mwahh

Happy Birthday Tia!

On the 30th August 2014 it was my beautiful little kitty's birthday, she turned 1!

Sometimes I wish she was still this tiny little bundle of fur, but then again I'm quite glad she's gone past her 'I'm going to climb up your leg' phase. As far as I can tell she's a small cat for her age as she is still really small!

I grew up around dogs, we never had a cat and I had never really interacted with a cat before in my life, I might go as far to say I was slightly afraid of them, they always seemed shifty and could go from sleeping quietly to scratching your eyes out in a matter of seconds. I was wrong, don't get me wrong I'm sure some cats are like this.

11 months after bringing little Tia in to our lives (much to Tom's dismay) she is a part of our family and I don't think either of us would be without her. She's such a little character and although very anti-cuddles she is never far from my feet especially when it's bed time.

Love you Pusstat!

How many of you have a fur family?

Hope you enjoyed... Mwahh!

How to : Galaxy Choc Chip Cookies

Hello lovley's, now I'm not much of a chef but I can make a few basic things - such as cookies! So for (i imagine very few) of you here is my quick run by on a super simple recipe for super quick cookies!

You will need;
300g Caster Sugar
200g Butter
1 Egg
325g Self Raising Flour
1-2 Bars of Galaxy Chocolate

Firstly you add your sugar and butter together and mix until creamy - if your butter is a bit hard just pop it in the microwave for a few seconds, just a few though else it will just be liquid!! This is my favourite bit, does anyone else think this combination is literally the tastiest thing ever?!

Then add your egg into the mixture - I was always told never to eat raw egg so after this point I never eat the cake batter, is anyone else like this? Loads of people I know eat it!

Add in the flour, a little bit at a time - the mixture does become quite hard to mix now if it's still quite runny you've gone wrong... but just add a bit more flour.

I simply broke up a bar of Galaxy Chocolate (my fave!) but you can use any chocolate you want - I'm thinking of trying those new Cadbury chocolates in this - mmm Daim Choc Chip Cookies ! I then cut each chunk into three, but if you want really chunky choc chips just chuck them in whole!

So the batter is now more like a dough, take a small handful, roll into a ball and pop onto a baking tray - I have covered my tray with baking paper just so they come off easier. The cookie balls can be any size you want, these are fairly small but make sure you leave plenty of space between them, this is why...

HUGE COOKIES!
As they cook the mixture melts down and leaves you with lovely, warm, gooey cookies!

If you want to make Double Choc Chip Cookies just add some Cocoa Powder into the flour.

Hope you enjoyed my little tutorial... Mwahh!

A Day Out

Although my sister, niece and nephew only live down the road from me I rarely find time to spend with them working 9-5, 5 days a week so I took a day out of my schedule to spend entirely with them.

My sister and I were planning a lovely trip to the beach but as the weather has taken a rather dramatic turn in the opposite direction we settled for something that was slightly less needy of sunshine.

Park Hall Farm - this place is awesome! At first I thought it was going to be a stereotypical outing for 'city kids' to get a tiny taste of country life and being a country bumkin and wannabe shepherdess myself I thought it might be a bit boring - how wrong I was.

Firstly they had this quirky little 'driving school' for the kids (note: they have to be 3 or over) and it was really quite comical to see my five year old niece behind the wheel and in full control of a vehicle, no matter how small!

On the other hand my poor little munch was totally devastated when he couldn't have a go and did shed a few not so silent tears.

There is so much to do at this place it is perfect to keep the children occupied for a whole day, there's a little petting place with loads of different types of rabbits and guinea pigs. They can learn get up close and personal with two rather huge Clydesdale's and two lovely little Shetlands. In amongst a fabulous play area is a little cafe for Mum & Dad, where you can sit with a cuppa and watch the little ones from a safe distance.

Personally my favourite moment had to be the pig racing. Lucy and I both thought this was going to be fairly standard, a few pigs taking their time to stroll to the finish line - again how wrong we were.

You get to pick a coloured sticker, which of course allocates to a pig with a sprayed colour on their backs. As soon as the gate opened we all shouted 'GO' and these pigs literally raced down the track even over the jumps - it was really quite funny and the pigs seemed to enjoy it too (and the children of course)

All the tears earlier from Riley weren't totally in vain as he did get a go on something I wish I could have fitted my big adult bum into.

There were about 5-6 of these little barrels that were pulled along by a little tractor - totally cute although I was slightly worried Riley might jump out half way round!

They had a lovely opportunity to hand milk a beautiful Jersey cow, Leia actually managed to get some milk in the bucket and I don't think Riley entirely understood what he was doing - still super cute!

This place is a bargain for the amount you can do, perfect for the summer holidays - Park Hall Farm is located at Oswestry, and I cannot recommend it more, if I wrote about all the things you could do this blog post would be ten pages long!

Hope you enjoyed - what have you been up to these holidays?

OOTD #2

Here is my little bargain from my haul last week..

I must say I absolutely love this dress, it's so bold, bright & summery. It's light and floaty - although it's an awkward shape and difficult to disguise your bra underneath it, I'm sure you ladies know what I mean.
I paired it with a thin tan belt just to sinch in my waist and it was a little chilly out so I chucked on my cropped denim jacket (this also help with the undergarment issues) - this was also from H&M.

What's your perfect dress this summer?
